Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receives, interprets and reviews prescriptions; clarifies issues with prescribers and other health professionals.
• Utilizes patient data to provide optimal drug therapy recommendations and perform protocol-driven services.
• Compounds, prepares and dispenses medications including sterile products.
• Counsels patients and family members regarding pharmaceutical care issues.
• Directs shift workflow and supervises pharmacy technicians, students, and volunteers.
• Adheres to policies and participates in process improvement opportunities.
• Precepts students and residents and trains new staff.
