Job summary

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree.
• Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or eligible to obtain licensure within 6 months of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Receives, interprets and reviews prescriptions; clarifies issues with prescriber or nurse as needed.
• Provides optimal drug therapy recommendations using patient data and protocols.
• Compounds, dispenses medications including sterile products in accordance with procedures.
• Counsels patients and families on pharmaceutical care issues.
• Directs workflow and supervises pharmacy technicians and students on shift.
