Job summary

Omnicare, operating as an independent entity after CVS Health's sale, is seeking a Consultant Pharmacist in Georgia for a full-time, 40-hour week role focused on compliance and clinical reviews in long-term care facilities. The position involves direct collaboration with facility leadership and care teams.

The successful candidate will perform MRRs, utilize MDS 3.0 assessments, and prepare executive-level reviews.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia pharmacist license required.
• 3 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience.
• 1 year of long-term care pharmacy experience preferred.
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain.
• Certification in geriatrics and/or gerontology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities remain compliant and aligned with federal regulations.
• Complete clinical reviews as required by federal and state regulation.
• Own issue resolution and communicate early warning signs of potential issues.
• Drive adoption of Omnicare programs and service offerings.
• Use existing customer relationships to promote growth and new business.
• Conduct Executive Reviews and other customer meetings as required.
• Collaborate with Account Management, Sales, Operations, and appropriate corporate functions to meet site goals.
• Perform Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) and provide written reports to staff.
• Dedicate time to each resident's review based on clinical needs.
• Use OSC2OR software on-site to generate MRR and recommendations.
• Utilize the MDS 3.0 health assessment tool for targeted residents.
• Complete the Quality Improvement: Consultant Pharmacist Summary Report monthly.
• Educate facility staff on new programs and perform required functions.
