Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to manage medication therapies, ensure safe and cost-effective treatment, and maintain compliance with all applicable guidelines. The role includes reviewing orders, supervising dispensing, educating patients, and collaborating with care teams; travel between locations is required as needed.

Requires ACPE-accredited PharmD/BS, active pharmacist license in the state, and experience in pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited degree (BS or PharmD) required.
• Current license to practice pharmacy in the practised state.
• Experience in pharmacy practice required; 1 year preferred.
• Proficiency with pharmacy computer systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Review orders for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness.
• Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products.
• Oversee dispensing operations to ensure timely medication availability.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Maintain inventory security and accountability.
• Document and address adverse medication events; support safety reporting.
• Educate patients to improve understanding and adherence.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and care teams.
• Travel between locations as needed.
