Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to perform medication management, ensure safe and cost-effective therapy, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves clinical review, education, and collaboration with healthcare teams, with travel between locations as needed.

Requirements include a BS or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school, state license, and pharmacy practice experience. Advanced degrees or residencies are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the state(s) of practice.
• Graduate of ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
• Experience in pharmacy practice required; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process orders and provide medication review for appropriateness, safety and efficacy.
• Ensure accurate preparation of compounded and non-compounded products.
• Oversee distributive functions to ensure timely medication availability.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
• Maintain security of inventory.
• Identify and resolve adverse medication events and review reports.
• Educate patients to improve understanding and adherence.
• Communicate with the pharmacy team, providers, patients and leaders.
• Participate in medication safety, QA, and drug utilization reviews.
• Must be able to travel between locations.
