Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Clinic Lead to balance hands-on Medical Assistant duties with frontline clinic operations on-site in Flagstaff, AZ. The role serves as the primary liaison between frontline staff and the General Manager, ensuring patient flow and quality care across front and back-office functions.

The ideal candidate is a certified Medical Assistant with strong clinical competency, leadership capability, and a commitment to regulatory and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required.
• CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, ASHI, or NSC) required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or equivalent per state requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of back office MA experience in medical/urgent care settings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-shift operational point person, ensuring smooth patient flow from check-in to discharge.
• Monitor and manage patient wait times, rooming cadence and throughput in real time.
• Identify bottlenecks and staffing gaps, addressing workflow issues promptly.
• Maintain clinic readiness: supplies stocked, equipment functional, and areas clean and compliant.
• Provide front office support and coverage as needed to support patient care and throughput.
• Mentor and train Clinical Care Specialists and Patient Service Specialists on shift.
• Model NextCare service standards and address patient concerns promptly.
