Job summary

NextCare in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a energetic Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced urgent care team. You will support clinicians with exams, administer medications, perform blood draws, and help keep the front desk running smoothly in a patient‑focused environment.

This role requires completing an approved MA program or equivalent certification, strong EMR/EHR skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; copy at time of offer.
• Completed an approved Medical Assistant training program.
• National Certification CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent if program unapproved.
• 1 year of experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams and vitals under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection as directed.
• Support front office reception when needed.
• Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR and adhere to lab policies.
• Follow accreditation and safety guidelines.
