Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Health Unit Coordinator to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and the care team. You will monitor supplies, assist with EHR orders, and communicate effectively with patients and staff as a resource to the care team.

This role requires reading and communicating in English, basic computer skills, and the ability to multitask under pressure. Flexible hours include days, evenings, and weekends in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a health unit coordinator program or equivalent experience.
• Current CHUC certification preferred.
• CNA certification on Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry preferred.
• 12 college credits or Nursing Assistant training preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units and healthcare team.
• Assist with monitoring and ordering supplies and managing orders in the EHR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and staff; support continuum of care.
• Support team with requests and patient needs; perform duties with good judgment and problem-solving.
