Job summary

The New York Foundling seeks a Nursing Leader to provide clinical leadership and administrative oversight to nursing staff within the Developmental Disabilities Division. You will ensure high-quality, person-centered health services while complying with OPWDD regulations and internal policies.

Lead audits, mentor staff, guide care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, review health trends, and support safe, ethical care across all health services and documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Current New York State RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in developmental disabilities, residential, or community-based settings (OPWDD experience preferred).
• BLS certificate required.
• Supervisory or leadership experience in healthcare or human services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to nursing staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and NYF policies; conduct audits and staff training.
• Guide implementation of medical interventions to improve health outcomes.
• Ensure timely and accurate health documentation; audit health records for regulatory compliance.
• Maintains health records documentation accuracy and accessibility for audits.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and review care plans.
• Support oversight committees with clinical contributions and medical expertise.
• Lead ongoing medication reviews and coordinate with prescribers and pharmacy services.
