Job summary

The Clinical Nursing Student at Lourdes Hospital provides direct patient care under supervision in accordance with policies and regulations. The program offers clinical experience and exposure through job shadowing and delegated care from the RN.

Responsibilities include supporting the nurse, accurate documentation and participation in hand-offs; EPIC EHR training is preferred. You must be enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical course and rotation completed.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with one clinical course and rotation completed.
• Must have foundation in nursing process and patient safety standards.
• Prefer familiarity with EPIC EHR (training optional).

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, supports nursing care and clinical tasks.
• Documents care accurately and timely for patient records.
• Assists with vital signs, hygiene, mobility and daily living activities.
• Serves as liaison between patient and nurse and reports changes promptly.
• Participates in hand-off reporting and unit-based duties.
