Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student at Lorain Hospital to gain hands-on clinical experience under the guidance of an RN. The role involves assisting with direct patient care, documenting care activities, and learning to apply patient safety standards in a real-world setting.

You must be enrolled in a nursing program (one clinical course and rotation completed) and have HS/GED. BLS is preferred. This PRN position supports care teams across units as needed.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program and has completed one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.

Responsibilities

• Develops critical thinking skills with the RN to ensure quality patient care.
• Provides basic patient care, records vital signs, aids with hygiene and mobility.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers accurate, timely documentation of patient care.
