Overview
Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital serves families in St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren counties. It is a 102-bed community hospital offering inpatient and outpatient services, including the Siteman Cancer Center, Breast Health and Women's Center, Cardiology Center, Neurosurgery Center, and Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.
The hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Level II stroke certification. It also houses offices for various specialists and outpatient services like physical therapy, sleep lab, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
All decisions prioritize patients and families. Surgical units perform complex procedures across multiple specialties, including orthopedic, breast, gynecological, laparoscopic, ENT, urology, maxillofacial, ophthalmology, vascular, plastic, general, gastrointestinal, colorectal, thoracic, and podiatry surgeries.
Role Purpose
Provides direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.
Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, participates in safety and quality activities, and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients. Communicates care plans effectively and assesses physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural backgrounds. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
