Our Wright Saunders 4 unit is a newly renovated, dynamic inpatient medical unit serving adults in West Philadelphia. It offers nurses the opportunity to impact patient lives through team-based care and close collaboration with physicians, pharmacists, therapists, and case managers.

Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse 2 practices as a full partner on the healthcare team, demonstrating safe and competent nursing care based on organizational standards. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the interprofessional team to coordinate care. Patients range from infants to the elderly, requiring individualized care considering physical, psychosocial, cultural, and age-related factors.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize data and quality improvement methods to enhance patient safety and care efficiency.
  • Evaluate and incorporate current evidence, clinical expertise, and patient preferences into care delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively, applying systems thinking for evidence-based problem solving and decision-making.

  • Demonstrate professionalism through ongoing learning, ethical practice, and community engagement.
  • Minimize risks and ensure safety for patients, families, and staff.

Credentials & Requirements
  • Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Active Pennsylvania RN license.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (BSN preferred).
  • At least 15 months of relevant nursing experience, with completion of Nurse Residency Program preferred.
