Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN to join our inpatient Psych Unit at Cedar Avenue. The unit provides short-term psychiatric management for patients experiencing acute mental or exacerbated chronic psychiatric disorders, with some patients possibly having secondary addiction diagnoses. It consists of two locked, 16-bed acute care units serving adults on voluntary or involuntary commitments. Our goal is to deliver treatment in the least restrictive setting to help patients regain optimal functioning.

Responsibilities
  • Practice as a full partner on the healthcare team, demonstrating safe and competent nursing care.
  • Apply the nursing process to provide individualized patient care across all ages.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support patient recovery.
  • Engage in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, leadership, and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Current Pennsylvania RN license.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school.
  • More than 15 months of relevant nursing experience and completion of Nurse Residency Program if applicable.
