Responsibilities include budgeting, staff supervision, education programs, and collaboration with physicians to coordinate care. A BSN or MSN is required, IL RN license, CPR, and specialty certification with a two-year transition plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification; specialty certification required with commitment to obtain within two years from hire.
• Three years of progressively responsible clinical experience; minimum three years in management.

Responsibilities

• Manages unit in compliance with regulatory agencies and maintains patient care standards.
• Assists in annual budgets and business plans; allocates resources and reviews budget variances.
• Interviews, hires, disciplines, and evaluates department personnel; ensures staff orientation.
• Oversees education programs and develops policies to improve clinical services.
• Collaborates with physicians to coordinate patient care and improve the patient experience.
• Mentors staff and fosters a learning environment while supporting nurse satisfaction.
