Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN or MSN required.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Illinois.
• Current CPR certification; specialty certification required with plan to obtain within two years.
• Three years of progressively responsible clinical experience; minimum of three years management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages unit in compliance with regulatory agencies and maintains standards of patient care.
• Assists in annual budgets and business plans; allocates resources with the director.
• Interviews, hires, disciplines, and supervises subordinate personnel; conducts performance evaluations.
• Develops policies, improves clinical services, and enhances patient experience.
• Collaborates with physicians and represents the department at meetings.
• Leads staff development and education initiatives; mentors team members.
