Clinical Nurse II - Duke Children's Creekstone

Job Location: Duke Children's Creekstone - 4709 Page Rd, Durham, NC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse II at our Duke Children's Creekstone Clinic in Durham, NC to be an integral part of the healthcare team, providing direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Administer immunotherapy injections and perform related tasks.
2. Conduct patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, administering survey tools, educational assessments, medication review, and assisting patients with questions, ambulation, and toileting.
3. Perform procedural tasks such as allergy skin tests, interpreting results, oral immunotherapy, administering oral medications and food challenges, and monitoring for reactions. Provide patient and family education, bill for procedures, and assist with prior authorizations and triage as needed.
4. Document in electronic health records and NCIR.
5. Maintain professional development by updating competencies and seeking educational opportunities.
6. Identify and participate in clinical or operational performance improvement activities.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Eligibility Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete it within seven years.
• Minimum of twelve months of clinical experience.
• Current or compact RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS certification required.

Job Schedule:

Day shifts, Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings from 8 am to 12 pm.
