Clinical Nurse II - Duke Children's Creekstone

Job Location: Duke Children's Creekstone - 4709 Page Rd, Durham, NC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse II at our Duke Children's at Creekstone Clinic in Durham, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team, providing direct and indirect care to patients.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Administer immunotherapy injections and perform related tasks.
2. Perform patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, administering survey tools, conducting educational assessments, reviewing medications, assisting patients with questions, ambulation, and toileting.
3. Complete procedural tasks such as allergy skin tests, interpreting results, administering oral immunotherapy, medications, food challenges, and specialty injections. Monitor for reactions, provide education, bill procedures, and assist with prior authorizations and triage.
4. Document in electronic health records and NCIR.
5. Participate in professional development and performance improvement activities.
6. Perform other related duties as needed.

Job Eligibility Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
• All registered nurses without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within two years and complete it within seven years.
• Minimum of twelve months of clinical experience.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS certification required.

Job Schedule:

Day shifts, Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday mornings from 8 am to 12 pm.
