Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead nursing education initiatives across the Hartford HealthCare network. The role focuses on competency management, onboarding, and professional development for nursing staff.

The NPD/education practitioner collaborates with nursing leadership to align standards of practice, promote learning through evidence-based programs, and mentor staff across units in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Minimum 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year in an acute care environment or specialty area.
• Experience as a preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: use educational design and adult learning to bridge gaps identified by needs assessment.
• Collaborative Partner: work with nursing leadership to assess needs, develop programs, monitor competency, and support inter-professional activities.
• Role Development: promote professional nursing practice and standards of care across practice levels.
• Mentor: advance the profession by developing others and supporting ongoing professional learning.
• Competency Management: use tools to capture knowledge, skills and performance.
• Orientation: develop and evaluate onboarding programs during role changes.
• Change Agent: drive improvements using change management strategies.
• Champion of Scientific Inquiry: promote inquiry and use evidence to improve care.
• Perform other related duties as required.
