Job summary

Baptist Health in Lexington, KY is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to lead clinical education and professional development across the organization.

The educator will collaborate with department directors, nursing staff, and HR to design orientation, in-service, and continuing education programs, and to promote evidence-based practice and patient safety. This full-time role emphasizes leadership, coaching, and research integration.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or work permit in Kentucky.
• Three (3) years of acute care experience in the designated specialty within the last five (5) years.
• BSN from accredited nursing program.
• Certification as Professional Development Specialist (PDS) preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC/ENPC certifications as required by department of assignment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with department directors, nursing staff, and others to identify unit-specific educational needs.
• Collaborates with other educators to prevent redundancies of educational efforts.
• Facilitates unit/hospital orientation program for area of responsibility.
• Provides ongoing support and coaching to preceptors and/or new employees.
• Assesses educational needs for orientation, in-service education and continuing education.
