Job summary

Halifax Health is seeking a Clinical Educator to lead the assessment, design, delivery, and evaluation of orientation, education, training, and staff development for the nursing workforce across in-patient settings. The role supports development of nursing-related positions and fosters evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• 5 years of nursing or educator experience.
• 2 years in curriculum development and staff education.
• Knowledge of learning theories and adult education.
• Ability to design diverse instructional strategies.
• Familiar with nursing accreditation standards and procedures.
• Strong evaluation and content synthesis skills.
• Experience with change management in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess educational needs across Halifax Health system.
• Design, implement and evaluate competency programs.
• Coordinate orientation, continuing education and staff development.
• Collaborate with SMEs to create evidence-based training materials.
• Lead educational planning for new policies and procedures.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to develop staff skills.
• Document participation in education programs and maintain records.
• Coordinate demonstrations with vendor/manufacturer reps.
