Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nurse Educator/Clinical Instructor to bridge nursing student education with caregiver development. You will coordinate student clinical experiences and preceptor assignments, acting as a liaison between Mercy and affiliated programs.

Additionally, you will support onboarding and ongoing development of Mercy caregivers through orientation and required hospital training, contributing to Mercy's education initiatives and patient care excellence.

• If Bachelor's degree has been attained, 2 years' clinical experience is required. If Associate's degree is the highest level of degree attained, 10 years hospital nursing experience or 5 years' hospital nursing experience if active enrollment in a RN to BSN program.
• Current appropriate state license if required in discipline.
• BLS provider.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with the credibility to positively influence the delivery of patient care.
• Proven ability to organize and multitask to meet project deadlines.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of audiovisual equipment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of equipment/technology used in delivery of patient care.

• Certified or progress toward certification in a specialty related to responsibilities (if available in discipline) preferred.
• 2 years' teaching experience.
• Additional life support certifications as required by specialty (ACLS/ALS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TNCC and/or ENPC).
