Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Nurse Educator/Clinical Instructor to serve as the primary liaison between Mercy and affiliated nursing programs. You will coordinate student clinical experiences and preceptor assignments while supporting onboarding and ongoing training for Mercy caregivers.

This role emphasizes education, workforce development, and excellence in patient care; you will influence evidence-based practice and contribute to Mercy's mission from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years clinical experience; or Associate's degree with 10 years hospital nursing experience or 5 years if RN to BSN student.
• Current state license if required in discipline.
• BLS provider.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge related to evidence-based practice with credibility to influence patient care.
• Ability to organize and multitask to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of audiovisual equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of equipment/technology used in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between Mercy and affiliated nursing programs, coordinating student clinical experiences and preceptor assignments.
• Support onboarding and development of Mercy caregivers through orientation and required hospital training.
• Help Mercy's education and workforce development initiatives to improve patient care.
