Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit operations during shifts. The CNC collaborates with the management team to monitor nursing care, serve as a resource for staff, and align with the organization’s mission and values to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Key duties include guiding admission/discharge flows, evaluating care quality, coordinating with subject matter experts, and supporting staffing

Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with management.
• Collaborates with experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operates nursing strategies like hourly rounds and employee rounding to boost engagement.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; guides performance evaluations and discipline as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.

Education

Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
