Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Demonstrates strong genomic understanding and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Perl, Java).
• Knowledge of DNA-seq and RNA-seq tools and pipelines.
• Experience with SQL/HTML/CSS/Apache and webtool development.
• Familiarity with CAP/CLIA lab setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily clinical bioinformatics workflow (DNA-seq, RNA-seq).
• Analyzes clinical data for validation of new NGS tests.
• Assists with preparing validation summaries for new NGS tests.
• Helps develop analysis pipelines for NGS tests.
• Evaluates analytical aspects of emerging analysis methods.
• Assists in developing databases and webtools.
