Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Bioinformatics Analyst to analyze clinical Next Generation Sequencing data, help develop data analysis pipelines, and organize and maintain databases within the Pathology department.

Under supervision, you will participate in daily workflows, contribute to validation of new NGS tests, and support database/webtool development with strong genomics knowledge and programming skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• Strong genomics knowledge with programming skills (Python/Perl/Java).
• Experience with DNA-seq/RNA-seq tools (BWA, GATK, STAR, Samtools).
• Knowledge of SQL/HTML/CSS/Apache for database/webtools.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily clinical bioinformatics workflow, analyzes data for test validation.
• Assists in developing analysis pipelines and evaluating new methods.
