Job summary

Foundation Medicine is seeking an Analyst I, Clinical Bioinformatics to analyze and deliver NGS data in a regulated clinical diagnostic laboratory, collaborating with clinicians, pharma partners, and academic collaborators.

This role involves developing genomic profiles, reviewing variant calls with IGV, and delivering results per SOPs within defined turnaround times. A CLIA lab background and strong collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a bioinformatics or life science field.
• Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases.
• Ability to work in a CLIA-certified clinical diagnostics lab.
• Experience with Next-Generation Sequencing.
• Willingness to work weekends or off-hours shifts.
• Strong written and oral communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop annotated genomic profiles of somatic aberrations from NGS data.
• Review genomic variant calls using IGV and other tools.
• Provide test results per SOPs within defined turnaround times.
• Collaborate with technical teams to specify requirements for tools and workflows.
• Comply with attendance policies and company norms.
• Other duties as assigned.
