Job summary

Requirements include a high school diploma and six months of MA or PCT experience, or completion of approved MA/EMT/LPN programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 6 months MA/PCT experience.
• Completion of an approved medical assisting, EMT, nursing assistant, LPN, armed services medic, or patient care technician program is acceptable.
• BLS certification required within 6 months for Rural Health clinics and for float positions where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision, including vital signs, exams support, and basic procedures.
• Assist with injections, venipuncture, EKGs, PFTs, immunizations, and medication administration as directed.
• Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies; document interventions and patient responses in charts or EMR.
• Support clerical tasks to maintain clinic operations.
