McLaren Health Care is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Care Tech to provide patient care and support in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, immunizations, blood draws, and administering medications as directed.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and either six months of MA/PCT experience or completion of a recognized MA/EMT/Nurse Assistant/LPN or patient care technician program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months experience as a Medical Assistant or a Patient Care Tech.
• Or completion of one of the listed programs: medical assistant, emergency medical technician, nurse assistant, licensed practical nurse, armed services medic, or patient care technician.
• For Rural Health Designation clinics, BLS within 6 months of hire.
• Float positions may require travel between clinics.

Responsabilités

• Performs patient care and service excellence tasks, including taking vital signs and assisting with procedures.
• Assists with clerical duties to maintain efficient operations.
• Prepares examining rooms and stock with supplies and forms for physicals and visits.
• Documents interventions and patient responses in the chart or EMR.
