McLaren Health Care in Port Huron, MI seeks a Medical Assistant to support patients and physicians across physician offices and clinics. The role includes taking histories and vitals, assisting with procedures, and handling phones, check-in/out, and insurance tasks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a medical assistant program, and BLS certification. Preferred: MA certification and 1 year of experience in a medical setting.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from a medical assistant program required.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Obtains and records patient histories, vital signs, test results and other information for medical records while maintaining confidentiality.
• Performs daily administrative tasks: answering phones, scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, updating medical records, insurance forms, billing and bookkeeping.
• Prepares treatment rooms and assists practitioners with medical procedures and patient care.
• Delivers compassionate support to patients and families.
• Ensures compliance with health care regulations including HIPAA and OSHA.
