Job summary

McLaren Port Huron is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patients, physicians, and staff across offices and clinics. Responsibilities include patient intake, vital signs, basic procedures, and medication administration under physician direction.

You will prepare exam rooms, assist with procedures, document care, and uphold HIPAA/OSHA standards while delivering compassionate patient support in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a medical assistant program or 1 year MA experience.
• BLS Certification and/or Canadian equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and test results for medical records with confidentiality.
• Schedule, check-in/check-out, and maintain patient medical records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist with medical procedures and patient care.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulations.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician direction.
• Maintain clean, safe environment and follow infection-control policies.
