Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team in Auburn Hills, MI. You will perform routine medical procedures, patient prep, and front/back office duties to deliver high-quality care and an excellent patient experience.

Responsibilities include assisting clinicians, conducting testing, and maintaining documentation while adhering to HIPAA and safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least 1 year direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for exams including vital signs and ancillary testing (vaccines, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram, respirator fit).
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triaging emergent patients and performing routine medical procedures as ordered.
• Prepare/assist with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered.
• Dispense medications and DME per state regulations.
• Maintain and calibrate medical devices; ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain supplies and clean/stock exam rooms
• Notify supervisor of equipment or supply issues
• Support patient flow and communication of wait times
• Clerical duties and proper record keeping; ensure documentation accuracy
• Front desk tasks: check in/out, authorization, multi-line phones
• Adhere to HIPAA and safety rules
• Attend staff meetings and maintain facility appearance
• Complete monthly clinical competency trainings
