Job summary

Concentra in Vernon, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. The role performs routine medical procedures, supports front and back office tasks, and ensures accurate record keeping while delivering an excellent patient experience.

You will assist clinicians during examinations, take vital signs, collect specimens, and help with DOT/non-DOT testing. The position thrives in a fast-paced setting and includes ongoing training and growth opportunities within Concentra.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or at least 1 year of direct patient care experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and occupational medicine requirements (state-specific) preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information per HIPAA and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for exams.
• Assist providers during examinations and treatments.
• Handle front and back office duties and document accurately.
• Maintain supplies, rooms, and equipment; manage patient flow.
