Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma and completion of a medical assisting program with 330 clock hours.
• Must maintain current certification from a CMA/NCCT/AMCA/NAHP/NCMA or AMT-registrant body.
• AHA BLS certification required; non-licensed must obtain before orientation end.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and take vital signs and history.
• Maintain exam rooms, collect specimens and assist providers.
• Handle clerical duties including registration, scheduling, and charting.
• Perform ECGs and point-of-care testing per policy and training.
• Document in electronic medical records and coordinate with front office and staff.
