Job summary

Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College seeks an Instructor for Clinical Massage to provide instruction that fulfills the requirements of the NC Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy and the NC Community College System. This is a continuous posting; openings may exist and the posting remains open for 12 months.

Responsibilities include teaching clinical massage courses, maintaining safety and sanitation, and keeping student records.

Qualifications

Graduation from a regionally accredited institution and three years of documented exceptional work experience as a licensed massage therapist.
Current North Carolina State Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy license in good standing.
Experience teaching adults.
Experience in clinical massage.
Computer literacy, particularly in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

Teach courses specific to the clinical massage program, meeting or exceeding requirements of the North Carolina Community College System and the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy.
Model world‑class service in a hands‑on educational environment that emphasizes whole‑body wellness.
Monitors inventory of supplies and maintains safety and sanitation of the department.
Complete and maintain student grade and attendance records.
Adjust to varying roles as an adjunct Clinical Massage Instructor and establish rapport with coordinators, instructors, clients, peers, and students.
