Qualifications

• Certificate in manicuring or associate degree in cosmetology with two years experience as a manicurist/cosmetologist.
• Current NC Board license as Manicurist and Manicurist Teacher or Cosmetologist and Cosmetologist Teacher.
• Demonstrated teaching skills.
• Demonstrated artistic manicure skills.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mastery of subject matter and teach manicure courses per NC Board/CCCS requirements.
• Model world-class service in a simulated salon to prepare students for licensure.
• Adhere to college policies, procedures and disciplines.
• Monitor inventory and ensure safety and infection control compliance.
• Maintain accurate student grades, attendance and performance records.
• Evaluate student progress in a fair and timely manner.
• Utilize Moodle and maintain gradebook.
• Participate in assessment and curriculum improvement for student learning outcomes.
• Uphold College Vision and Welcoming College values.
• Support diversity in all aspects.
• Establish rapport and communicate effectively with chair, faculty, staff, clients and students.
