Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital in Dallas, Texas seeks a Clinical Liaison for inpatient rehabilitation. This full-time role focuses on building referral relationships, coordinating intake and pre-admission screening, and performing on-site clinical judgments to assess admission suitability.

The position requires RN/LVN/PT/OT/SLP/MSW credentials with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and values prior marketing/sales and EMR experience. A valid driver's license is also required.

Qualifications

• RN, LVN, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP or MSW with a bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred.
• Previous clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems.
• Formal Sales Training preferred.
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
• Assist and coordinate intake and pre-admission screening process
• Perform on-site clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
• Communicates to patients and families rehabilitation and facility options and expectations
• Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
• Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities

How you'll contribute

Clinical Liaisonwho excels in this role:

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
• Assist and coordinate intake and pre-admission screening process
• Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
• Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options. Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
• Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
• Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities

What we're looking for

Applicants should have Clinical Licensure as an RN, LVN, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP, RRT or MSW with a bachelor's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
• Formal Sales Training preferred
• Valid driver's license
