Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Methodist Rehabilitation Hospital in Dallas, TX is seeking a Clinical Liaison for inpatient rehabilitation. This full-time role focuses on admissions, intake coordination, and clinical judgment to determine patient suitability for admission.

You will build relationships with referring facilities, guide patients and families about rehab options, and coordinate with payors and discharge planners. A clinical license and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicants should hold clinical licensure as RN, LVN, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP, RRT or MSW; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Marketing/sales experience is preferred.
• Experience with clinical assessment and EMR systems is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital.
• Assist and coordinate intake and pre-admission screening process.
• Perform on-site clinical judgment to determine admission appropriateness.
• Communicates with patients and families about rehabilitation options, expectations and participation requirements.
• Secures information related to patients' resources and benefits.
• Serve as initial contact for external case management and discharge planning staff with payors and hospital facilities.

How You'll Contribute

A Clinical Liaison who excels in this role:

• Builds and maintains referral relationships to drive appropriate admissions to the hospital
• Assist and coordinate intake and pre-admission screening process
• Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determine appropriateness of patient for admission
• Communicates to patients and family's rehabilitation and facility options. Communicates to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient's expectations and requirements for participation
• Secures information relating to patients' resources and benefits
• Functions as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have Clinical Licensure as an RN, LVN, PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP, RRT or MSW with a bachelor's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

• Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
• Previous clinical experience preferred, with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems
• Formal Sales Training preferred
• Valid driver's license
