Job summary

The Indian Health Service is seeking a Medical Technician (Laboratory Support) to perform clinical laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking, supporting accurate results for patient care in American Indian communities.

You will collect specimens, process and track them in LIS, validate results, and assist with quality assurance and compliance with CAP, CLIA, and safety standards while contributing to mission-driven healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experience performing laboratory tests and examinations in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and biosafety standards is preferred.
• Ability to document, interpret, and communicate laboratory results.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of clinical laboratory tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking.
• Collect, accession, and process patient specimens; ensure specimen integrity and tracking in laboratory systems.
• Validate and document results; communicate results to healthcare providers; support quality assurance activities.
