Qualifications

• GS-04: Six months general experience and six months specialized medical laboratory support experience or related education.
• GS-05: One year of specialized experience or a bachelor’s degree with related coursework.
• GS-06: One year of specialized experience conducting standardized clinical lab tests and reporting results.
• GS-07: One year of specialized experience conducting a broad range of lab tests and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, microbiology, urinalysis, immunology, serology, and blood banking.
• Evaluate test results and troubleshoot to ensure accuracy.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and prepare reagents.
• Collect and process patient specimens and track in lab systems.
• Validate and document results; support quality assurance and accreditation activities.
