Job summary

North Shore Medical Center, Inc. seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the chemistry laboratory.

You will supervise technical, clerical, and service staff, orient new hires, conduct competency assessments, and partner with the Laboratory Manager to schedule duties and ensure quality results. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Sciences and ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Sciences required.
• ASCP certification required.
• 3-5 years clinical lab experience with supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage inventory and ensure safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of technical, clerical, and service employees.
• Plan, organize, delineate, and schedule duties and responsibilities with Laboratory Manager.
• Assist other technologists with technical problems and interpretation of results.
• Determine priority of work and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Maintain inventory and laboratory supplies; manage records and reports.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and SOPs; conduct competency assessments.
