Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor who will supervise all clinical laboratory personnel and oversee quality control, patient results, and policies. This role includes twenty percent bench work and acts as a key member of the director’s management team.

The position requires California CLS license, a BS in medical technology, and at least six years of lab experience with supervisory responsibilities. This is an onsite role with opportunities to lead organizational initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS Degree from an approved school of medical technology.
• State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license (ASCP or equivalent).
• Six years of current laboratory experience in all areas, with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors compliance with professional, accreditation, and regulatory standards through QC data, patient results, logs, amended reports, and critical value documentation.
• Manages staff schedules to ensure coverage within budgeted parameters and accurate time/attendance records.
• Participates in recruitment, hiring, and introductory performance evaluations for supervised personnel.
