Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform a wide range of laboratory tests on biological specimens, ensuring accuracy, quality control and regulatory compliance.

The CLS will analyze results, calibrate and maintain equipment, manage specimens, and collaborate with physicians to support high-quality patient care. Licensure and certification as described are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field is required
• CLS license in the practicing state is required where applicable
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control and safety standards
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized lab testing on biological specimens using procedures
• Analyze, validate, document and report accurate results
• Perform quality control and ensure QA compliance
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments
• Collect, process and label specimens maintaining integrity
• Prioritize testing based on clinical urgency and orders
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory standards
• Follow infection control, HIPAA and safety policies
• Monitor inventory and assist with reagents/equipment management
• Train and guide laboratory assistants, students and new staff
• Collaborate with physicians to support patient care
• Perform other duties as assigned
