Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) to perform a wide range of laboratory tests on biological specimens. The CLS will analyze and validate results, ensure quality control, maintain equipment, and uphold patient safety and regulatory compliance while supporting high-quality laboratory operations.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related field, an active CLS license where required, and ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or related field required.
• Clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Active Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in the state of practice (where required).
• ASCP or equivalent national certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, and safety standards.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing on biological specimens using established procedures and protocols.
• Analyze, validate, document, and report accurate laboratory test results.
• Perform quality control procedures and ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance standards.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Collect, process, label, and handle specimens while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Prioritize laboratory testing based on clinical urgency and physician orders.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Follow infection prevention, laboratory safety, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and assist with reagent and equipment management.
• Train and provide guidance to laboratory assistants, students, and new staff as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
