Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in biological science, chemistry and mathematics as part of basic education requirement.
• Graduation from NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist program or an approved equivalent.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-05/07 level in clinical laboratory testing and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing in chemistry, microbiology, hematology, molecular diagnostics, immunology, and immunohematology.
• Interpret and verify test results, troubleshoot discrepancies and equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions to ensure accurate lab results.
• Collect, prepare, and evaluate patient specimens with proper handling and documentation.
• Perform quality control, proficiency testing, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting to meet accreditation and regulatory standards.
