Job summary

Indian Health Service is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform routine and specialized laboratory testing across chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunology, and immunohematology. You will interpret results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure accuracy of patient data.

You will collect specimens, maintain quality control, calibrate instruments, and support regulatory compliance within a federal healthcare setting serving American Indian communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology and NAACLS accreditation or equivalent.
• One year of specialized experience in clinical laboratory testing in major areas (chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, serology).
• Ability to collect and prepare patient specimens and to maintain quality control and biosafety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing across multiple disciplines.
• Interpret results, troubleshoot discrepancies, and document corrective actions.
• Maintain instrument calibration, QC, and regulatory compliance.
