Job summary

Qualifications

• Education required: High school diploma or GED with 2 years in a clinical environment.
• An AS degree is preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Performs CLIA classified moderately complex lab testing under supervision.
• Enter results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions following SOPs.
• Calibrates pipettes and thermometers per SOPs and records data.
• Prepares reagents/controls for testing and labels specimens accurately.
• Maintains supplies and communicates shortages; supports CSI initiatives.
• Provides orientation and training to new staff/students.
