Job summary

Health Network Laboratories, LLC – HNL Lab Medicine in Allentown, PA is seeking a Senior Technical Assistant in Microbiology to support specimen processing, testing, and data entry under supervision. You will assist with CLIA classified moderately complex tests and maintain LIS results entry according to SOPs.

The role requires a high school diploma (AS preferred) with clinical experience, ability to handle STAT requests, and basic QC tasks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 2 years in a clinical environment involving data processing/specimen handling.
AS degree preferred or equivalent demonstration of education and experience.
Graduate of a health/medical assistant or similar program from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Performs CLIA classified moderately complex laboratory testing and enters results into the Laboratory Information System under direct supervision of a technologist.
Recognizes and corrects instrument malfunctions and documents troubleshooting.
Preps reagents/controls and prepares/collects specimens for analysis with proper labeling.
Maintains inventory and participates in CSI and continuing education activities.
