Job summary

Decypher is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform clinical testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, serology, transfusion services and phlebotomy. The role involves specimen preparation, instrument maintenance, QC, and reporting using a laboratory information system, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

The projected start is January 2027, onsite in Tacoma, WA, with Wed–Sat night shifts (9:00pm–7:30am or 9:30pm–8:00am). U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved college-based laboratory technician certificate program and passed the certification test by an approved organization (NCA/AMT/ASCP).
• Current certification/registration as a medical laboratory technician is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of clinical laboratory tests across sections such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, urinalysis, serology, transfusion service and phlebotomy.
• Prepare and evaluate specimens, calibrate and maintain instruments, and report results via LIS.
• Conduct quality control procedures and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.
