MultiCare Allenmore Hospital in Tacoma seeks a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to perform a dynamic range of analytic laboratory testing, quality control, data analysis and problem resolution in a night shift. This 0.88 FTE role offers 8:00pm–6:30am, 7 on/7 off, with a supportive team and opportunities to grow within a long-standing community hospital.

You will receive specimens, perform instrument maintenance, ensure proper specimen ID, and contribute to accuracy and reliability of results while

Qualifications

• Associate degree required (minimum).
• Certification: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) with ASCP CM or ASCP MLT.
• 50 week military program in lieu of associate's degree may be accepted.
• Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification or eligible (if duties will include phlebotomy).
• Minimum one year of previous laboratory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receive specimens and establish/maintain positive identification.
• Determine suitability of specimens and may reject unsuitable samples.
• Acquire/prepare reagents as needed.
• Perform instrument maintenance and calibration.
